Intended Use
This open system kit is designed for the qualitative and discrimination of SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant and intended for the qualitative detection of T547K and P681R mutation sites on S gene of SARS-CoV-2 Omicron Variant (B1.1.529) and Stealth Omicron subvariant (BA.2).
S Gene Target Failure (SGTF) is defined as a PCR test where the N and ORF1ab genes are detected but the S gene is not. This product provides Triplex-detection in a single tube, specific primers and probes were designed for amplifying RNA from S gene mutations (S: T547K and P681R) of SARS-CoV-2. And RNase P gene as an internal control to monitor sample quality, nucleic acid extraction procedure and for detection of any inhibitors of the PCR reaction.
