Intended Use
The TBE Buffer, 10× (Tris-Borate-EDTA buffer) is intended for use in DNA electrophoresis applications, including both polyacrylamide gel (PAGE) and agarose gel systems. When high resolution is not required, TBE may be used interchangeably with TAE. For small nucleic acids, higher buffer concentration in gels enhances resolution, making TBE particularly suitable. It is supplied as a 10× concentrate and requires dilution to 1× or 0.5× in deionized water before use.
